NORTH FACE STORY
Just a note first about North Face products, we carry an extensive line of North Face at our store here at Country Woolens 842 Main Road, Westport Massachusetts.
North Face was named for the coldest, most unforgiving side of the mountain. And like UGGS and Fresh Produce their story began on the beach in California, more accurately San Francisco. It was 1966 that two hiking enthusiasts resolved to following their passions and founded a small mountaineering store.
By the early 1980’s North Face was taking exploration to the outer limits of the ski world, adding extreme skiwear to their product array. North Face maintains its’ commitment to pushing the limits of design so that you can push the limits outdoors.
DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
North Face tests both in their laboratories and with our athletes on expeditions around the world. Their athletes often recommend an innovation that’s outside the bounds of existing technology. Even knowing this the North Face® Research, Design and Development team accepts their challenges and turns to the laboratory for new fabrics and components.
